These pictures are from the Hot Buttons 2004 Political Vaudeville held Oct. 25-27 at The Culture Project in NYC. Elyse Singer, Artistic Director of Hourglass Group and producer of this benefit for electionprotection.org asked me to do something for the benefit and I said I wanted to explore my german punk/cabaret-diva alter-ego Lötsa Pioof and that I would write a political parody of the Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson classic "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys". Wierd idea, but hey, it worked like crazy. And thus was born Kultur Kamp, featuring my friends performance artists Raquel Cion and Taylor Mac. Stay tuned for more!
