The Main Street Public House in Philmont, NY With Farmer Fred Laing 12 Main Street (Route 217) Farmer Fred and Nina will be premiering their Ukulele Duo Extravaganza on Sunday, April 27th at 7pm. They will be playing one long set of songs from the '20s, '30s and '40s along with a few of Nina's originals. Farmer Fred (Laing) and his wife Sally own and operate Oakdale Farm in Hillsdale where you can get the best bar-b-q sauce and preserves (in the world; also available locally at Random Harvest on Rt. 23) along with in-season produce. Farmer Fred (also known locally as "Banjo Fred") can be seen every monday night at Umberto's in Poughkeepsie, getting down with the Riverbank Banjo Band.
